Vintage Chair Makeovers

I found myself the loveliest Eames Era chair at Goodwill for $7.99. It has such beautiful form, the only problem is that its seat is upholstered in an awful 80's puce fabric:( Good thing I can see past the abomination! Once I am done with the recovering, I'll post pictures. In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite chair makeovers. Hopefully it will inspire you to give an overlooked and seemingly unfortunate chair a new life!

  4. Paint is such a wonderful thing. Have you found a market for these types of things? I do this sort of thing for my own home often, but if I ever try to sell anything in my hometown people treat it just like basic used furniture...you know, like it is a pain to sell. I've never tried selling on etsy because the shipping would be difficult for oversize pieces. I guess my town was just the wrong type for this stuff.

  5. Hayley, I haven't tried selling refurbished chairs, but I'm thinking of having them in my space at an antique mall in the future. I'll let you know if there is a market or if we are just insanely cool and no one else gets our taste;)
